Why Choose Me?
That’s something I always ask myself when seeking help and advice for anything…
So indeed… Why Me?As a qualified and experienced Counsellor I offer short, medium and long-term therapy to a wide range of clients who bring with them a variety of different needs.
Also maybe I can empathise with where you are emotionally, with their being a good chance I have been in a similar place to where you are now…
In overcoming my childhood and in having suffered underlying multi-systemic health problems, which lead to bouts of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I have more than once been down about as far as I can go. So I know what it’s like to be faced with physical and physiological uncertainty.
And at times we all need a little help… we just don’t always know where to look for it…
So, a little bit about who I am….
I am a Mum to a teenage boy, a step-mum, a wife and a rescuer of 5 dogs!!
A number of years ago I had a complete career change, embarking on a Bachelors Honours Science Degree, which subsequently led me towards my own therapy and becoming a Counsellor.
Therapy gave me a language by which to make sense of my own life, it also taught me that I am only human and that although our bodies and minds want to work the right way, the balance can easily go array.
One of my held beliefs is that we all have the key to the gateway of our mind and with the help of breathing exercises, meditation and mindfulness, these wonderful tools in conjunction with Counselling, can help us all survive in today’s busy world.
Why Choose One-to-One Counselling?
Large and small problems in your everyday life can be worked and lessened to something more manageable, with a move towards emotional wellbeing, awareness and choice.
Through gradual change and in developing a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, you can work towards removing the barriers that may be preventing you from moving forward in your life...
Therapy can sometimes be physically and emotionally draining, but like anything else in life, finding this balance through therapeutic means has to be something you want.
If you’re reading this then you will have taken the first step and may therefore understand that life’s journey and the various paths we take, gives us many ups and downs along the way.
